YouthAIDS Council of NSW (ACON) - This service provides a large amount of health information (especially sexual) for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders. Services include fun and esteem groups, workshops and groups for young gay men under 25 years to talk about issues concerning them, develop their self-esteem and social networks and the ins and outs program for young lesbians. Family Planning Victoria - Family Planning Victoria run social support groups for young people who are attracted to others of the same sex. Freedom Centre - "Freedom Centre is a Western Australian based peer support and information service here to support young people (under 26) and their communities to be informed, happy and healthy about their sexuality and gender." Gay & Lesbian Switchboard - Gay and Lesbian Switchboard is a volunteer organisation which provides a free and confidential telephone counselling, referral and information service for the Victorian and Tasmanian gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) communities. GLYSSN - A project of St George Youth Services. It provides social activities, support, informaiton and referral to gay, lesbian, queer, bisexual, transgender and questioning young people in the south Sydney region. Inside Out CYH - The Inside Out Project is a pro-active, dynamic and innovative HIV/AIDS education and prevention program that provides a range of information, education and support services to young men 26 and under in metropolitan Adelaide who identify as gay, bisexual or same-sex attracted. Inside OUT Sunshine Coast GLBT Youth - A support group for GLBT youth 13-25 Jellybabies - A social group for queer and queer-friendly youth and students in Canberra. Affiliated with the sANU Students' Association. Membership is free. The club hosts lots of events throughout the year, including film nights, parties, picnics, coffee afternoons, and pub get together. JOY 94.9 - Australia's only Gay and Lesbian radio station.
Since then Minus18 has branched into a number of sub-projects and committees, all aimed at providing a safe place and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, intersex and curious young people. Queernet - QueerNet is a participation project led by queer/questioning youth ages 16-24. QueerNet offers group peer support, youth led activities and projects such as creative arts/expression, advocacy and queer youth rights activism, and enviro/wholsitic health focused adventure/outdoors activities, and individual queer affirmative counseling for young people. Queer Youth Network - A UK based organisation. "Standing up for our rights. Uniting and Supporting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Asexual, Intersex, Transexual, Queer, Questioning, Pansexual and Transgendered Young People all over the United Kingdom and beyond" Tasmanian University Union Queer Society (QSoc) - Queer Students on campus The Gender Centre - Provides a number of services (community education, counseling, groups, support for families and friends, outreach, drug and alcohol services, etc) for people with gender issues and their loved ones. The Warehouse Youth Health Centre - The Warehouse is a health service for young people aged 12 to 24 years; one of its services includes a support group for sexually diverse young people Twenty 10 - A service specifically for gay and lesbian youth (under 26 years old). They provide medium-term accommodation, information, resources and referrals, groups and activities, family support services, counselling, individual support, advocacy and rural support. Y-GLAM Performing Arts Project - A Performing Arts project for same sex attracted and transgender young people between the ages of 14-25. WA Gender Project - The WA Gender Project is a lobby group for gender diverse people in Western Australia. It seeks to inform government and the wider community about the needs of people whose gender expression differs from societal expectations. In particular, the group seeks to represent the interests of transsexual, transgender and genderqueer people, as well as people with intersex conditions who identify as intersex and gender diverse youth. You do not have to be trans* or intersex to be involved, just gender-aware.
