Awards Privacy and Integrity Statement

This Privacy and Integrity Statement forms part of the terms of use for participating in the {also} ‘For All of Us’ Awards and use of its associated websites. The {also} Foundation is committed to the protection of your personal information and the integrity of the awards voting processes.

We comply with our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 and are guided by the Australian Privacy Commission’s National Privacy Principles.

Personal information

During the awards nomination, awards voting and ticket purchase processes, The {also} Foundation may collect personal information from you including your name, address, email address, IP address and telephone number.

In addition, our and other associated websites may uses cookies. Most web browsers are set by default to accept cookies. However, if you do not wish to receive any cookies you may set your browser to either prompt or refuse cookies. Please note that rejecting cookies may disable your browser from purchasing tickets or may restrict the functionality of some websites. Cookies are predominantly used for tracking visitation statistics and providing personalised services.

Sharing of personal information

The {also} Foundation will not sell or trade personal information about you to or with third parties at any time, without your express permission. The {also} Foundation will only share or disclose information provided by you to facilitate nomination, voting and ticket purchase functions or unless otherwise required by law or permitted under the Privacy Act.

Security of personal information

The {also} Foundation will endeavor to take all reasonable steps to keep secure any information that we hold about you, and stores information it collects in a secure server environment as provided by our ticketing and technology partners.

Secure Online Transactions

On-line ticket sales are facilitated by SeatAdvisor Australia and are subject to their privacy and security policies. They can be viewed at www.seatadvisor.com.au/privacy

Voting and Nomination Guidelines

Voting is restricted to one nomination and/or vote per category per person, as established by unique IP addresses. If the number of votes exceeds the number of unique visitors to the nomination and or voting pages, the number of unique visitors will be used as the maximum number of votes.

The {also} Foundation shall have the right to void any vote that appears to be an automated or duplicate vote and/or any other "hack" deemed to be violating voting integrity or otherwise interfering with the administration of the vote. The {also} Foundation may also, in consultation with the official auditor, void any other vote(s) that it believes, in its sole discretion, are inaccurate and/or would improperly or unfairly distort the voting results for any reason.

In the event of technical difficulties with the voting, The {also} Foundation reserves the right to review the votes for accuracy and to take any appropriate action, including, without limitation, voiding the votes cast during the time period in which such technical difficulties occurred.

The {also} Foundation shall not be responsible for and shall not be liable for difficulties, failures, malfunctions or interruptions to

networks or servers; miscommunications, failed computer hardware or software or other technical failures; garbled, lost, misrouted or scrambled transmissions; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion or for any technical problem which may cause the voting to be disrupted or corrupted.

By participating, each individual agrees to release The {also} Foundation and its directors, employees, volunteers, contractors or service providers from and against any and all claims and liability or any kind arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, out of their participation in this vote.

Awards Leadership Panel

In addition to the popular choice awards, a number of categories will be be awarded by a Community Leadership Panel. The panel comprises respected individuals who have demonstrated longstanding leadership, vision and service to our community.

Appointments to this panel (including the chair) are at the sole discretion of the Board of Management. Furthermore, this panel shall also oversee the broader voting processes and where required, engage with the official auditor.
