February 20, 2009 - {also) Youth Action Plan Launch

The {also} Youth Action Plan (YAP) 2009-2011 for same sex attracted, transgender, intersex and queer (SSATIQ) youth was launched On February 20, 2009 at 45 Downstairs in Flinders lane.

The launch included presentations by Dr Lynne Hillier from ARCHS and Dr Suzanne McLaren from the University of Ballarat - addressing and informing the experiences of SSATIQ young people today. A free hip-hop dance workshop was run by  Funkidance Australia.

The {also} Youth Action Plan provides a framework for the development and provision of {also}' s engagement with SSATIQ young people in Victoria over the next three years and underlines a commitment for the inclusion of SSATIQ young people in the development and delivery of services. The {also} Youth Action Plan picks up on the four defining themes of {also}’s Strategic Plan of celebrating, advocating, leading and investing.
