Lesbian Alcohol and Drug Support Group

Back
In conjunction with the Buoyancy Foundation, ALSO has set up a support and discussion group for lesbian women concerned about the use of drugs and alcohol in their lives. This group is running on Thursday evenings until 7th December, women can join in at anytime. The Buoyancy Foundation is a drug and alcohol service providing innovative and alternative approaches to drug and alcohol issues. The group is exclusively for lesbian women, allowing them the opportunity to bring forward issues of importance they may not feel comfortable to raise in other settings. Participation is free and participants are able to link into Buoyancy services such as shiatsu, Reiki, yoga, homoeopathy and individual counselling support.
Feedback from participants has been very positive, with women stressing the importance of the group in providing a safe, secure, confidential environment for lesbians to explore and review the use of alcohol and drugs in their lives. Contact The ALSO Foundation for more information.
