The Ministerial Advisory Committee on Gay and Lesbian Health (MACGLH) is developing an Action Plan on GLBTI health issues.
The development of the Action Plan has been underpinned by the production of 5 issues papers on:
- Sexual and reproductive health
- Physical health
- Life stage issues
- Mental and emotional health
- Drugs and alcohol
The ALSO Foundation
and Community Concepts conducted 16 community consultations
throughout Victoria in March and April 2002, over 150 people
participated and many written submissions were received.
Thank you to all of you who participated so generously in giving your time and information to the consultation process.
An interim report was developed for the MACGLH with a collation of responses from the community consultations. The MACGLH will now take these responses into consideration in forming an Action Plan.
A second stage of
consultation took place in August 2002 to distribute the Action
Plan to those interested in commenting on the Pan. A data
base was developed of community members, organisations and
service providers.
The end result
was the completion of the Gay and Lesbain Health documents.
