Initiated as a joint project by the Alternative Lifestyle Foundation (ALSO) and the Australian Drug Foundation (ADF), and funded by the Victorian Health Promotion Foundation, this research provided a closer understanding of drug use within gay, lesbian, bisexual and queer communities. The research report, including an extensive international literature review, is published as ‘Beyond Perceptions: A review of alcohol and other drug use among gay lesbian, bisexual and queer populations in Victoria’ (2000).
