 About the Film
The War on Democracy is Australian writer-filmmaker John Pilger's first major feature film for the cinema, an extraordinary and illuminating documentary with Latin America at its heart. It explores people’s yearning for democracy – government, for, by and of the people – and demonstrates the brutal reality of America's foreign policy of 'spreading democracy'. It also reveals the remarkable rise of true popular democracy and people power among the poorest on earth, the people of Latin America, whose grassroots movements are often ignored in the West.

HAVE YOUR SAY
Love Makes a Family is a community campaign working for legal and social recognition of same-sex parented children and their families. So far the campaign has helped motivate and support hundreds of people affected by the laws to have their say in the Commissions enquiry.
Our job as a community now is to convince all 128 members of Parliament that these reforms are needed by children and families, and supported by the broader community. We must show them that it is about real children, real parents and real families. Everyone can help: lesbian and gay parents and prospective parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, friends and workmates. The best thing you can do to help is to visit your local MP to tell them why you think the laws need to change, and how law reform will affect you and your family.
For more information and ways to support the campaign visit: www.rainbowfamilies.org.au
