Seniors

{also} has a longstanding commitment to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex & queer (GLBTIQ) seniors. Our projects with seniors include not only research and support but {also} actively pursues opportunities to celebrate with the Senior folk in our community.

Yearly, as part of our Victorian Seniors Festival, we hold a Seniors Rainbow Tea Dance in conjunction with partners Matrix Guild and Vintage Men. See pictures of the 2008 Tea Dance here.

In July 2008 past members of the ASPAC (ALSO Seniors Project Advisory Committee) were invited to attend a seniors forum at {also}. This was an opportunity for folk to talk about issues that they feel are important to them as Seniors in the GLBTIQ community. The feedback provided at this forum will be utilised by {also} to plan for future Seniors initiatives.
