Feb 2010 - Sexy Play Offs 2

 ‘Take Care Out There’ proudly hosted the second Sexy Play Offs sexual health trivia night.  Queer sports teams from around Melbourne converged to battle it out with sexual health based questions and skit challenges to win prize money for their team. Congratulations to LesRock lesbian rock climbing group who took away first prize. Places also went to Rovers SC and Sporty Dykes for their awesome participation as well. The teams who won have created a number of opportunities for their members to become more aware about sexual health; they’ve had guest speakers come out to their groups and speak about sexual health topics of interest to them, have added a range of resources and links to their websites, have created ‘hampers of health’ to give to new members, and have secured sponsorship from the “Drama Down Under” campaign from the Victorian Aids Council. Queer Sports Alliance Melbourne, Melbourne Outgames Inc. and all of the teams who have participated in both the first and second Sexy Play Offs should be congratulated for their leadership in improving the health and wellbeing of queer community members.
